Every Journey Thru Life Is Different
Who are we?
Thru Life CIC has been creating positive change for the past four years, working in socially deprived areas across North London, Ghana, Brazil, and St Kitts & Nevis. Our mission is to empower young people and their families through tailored support programs that use sports and creative media as a vehicle for change, building resilience, community connections, and personal growth. By integrating physical activity with creative outlets, we provide young people with diverse opportunities to express themselves, develop skills, and build a brighter future.
Housing Estate Programme
Our housing estate initiative focuses on football and fitness, working directly with families to promote healthier lifestyles, improve community cohesion, and create safe spaces for physical activity. By engaging young people and their families in these activities, we encourage teamwork, strengthen relationships, and build a sense of belonging within their communities.
Mentoring Support
Mentoring is at the heart of what we do. We work with young people ages 10-25, tailoring our approach to meet diverse needs, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). By offering one-on-one and group mentoring, we help participants build life skills, self-esteem, and aspirations. Our support extends to those at risk of exclusion, gang affiliation, or social isolation, guiding them toward positive pathways and enabling them to make informed life choices.
Girls-Only Programme
Focused on empowering young girls, this initiative combines life skills workshops, sports activities, and well-being sessions to build confidence and create safe spaces for girls to thrive. Through these programs, we encourage leadership, self-expression, and meaningful community involvement.
What do we aim to do?
International Programme
Our global outreach includes impactful programs in Brazil, Ghana, and St Kitts & Nevis. These initiatives combine sports, mentoring, and cultural exchange, providing youth with experiences that broaden their horizons and enhance their personal and professional skills.
Creative Media Hub
A space dedicated to nurturing creativity through music, film, and other media. This hub not only helps young people express their emotions and build connections but also identifies new talent, providing a career pathway into the creative industries. By developing skills and opportunities, the hub opens doors to professional growth in media-related fields.
Mental Health & Bereavement Programme
Operating in Haringey, this program supports young people affected by loss, knife crime, and social challenges. Through sports and creative outlets, we help them safely express emotions, build positive friendships, and overcome barriers to mental well-being.

How do we work?
Crime Diversionary Focus: By providing structured activities and mentorship, we steer young people away from negative influences and toward positive community engagement.
Using Sports as a Vehicle for Change: Whether on the pitch or in the studio, sports underpin all our programs as a unifying and transformative tool.
Collaboration with Key Stakeholders: We work with local authorities, community organizations, schools, and international partners to deliver tailored and impactful programs.
Community-Focused Approach: Each program is designed to meet the unique needs of young people and their families, strengthening personal growth and social connection.
Career Pathways: Through initiatives like the Creative Media Hub, we aim to equip young people with the skills and opportunities they need to achieve long-term success.
