Who are we?
Greenhouse Sports is a London based charity that uses sports coaching and mentoring to empower young people who are facing disadvantage and help them unlock their full potential.
What do we aim to do?
Greenhouse believes young people given the opportunity to play sport regularly and be mentored by Greenhouse coaches become adults who have confidence, resilience and develop into leaders.
An independent study of Greenhouse Sports shows our participants on average attend up to 8 days more school a year, and on average achieve better Maths and English GCSE grades, than their non-Greenhouse peers at school.
Greenhouse Sports is very proud that in 20 years the charity has worked with more than 50,000 children in London, keeping them engaged with education, helping them achieve better results, better jobs and a better future. Our magic is the Greenhouse Coach, unique individuals who are sports coach, trained mentor and role-model combined - they engage with kids through sport and teach them the life-skills they need.
How do we work?
We deliver full-time specialist sports coaching in schools through breakfast , lunch-time and after school clubs, as well as at weekends and during holidays. All under the mission of increasing the life chances of young people living with disadvantage.
